Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jessica began their career as an HR Assistant - Intern at Capital City Bank in 2004 before moving on to roles such as an HR Generalist at Longview Fibre, where they handled recruitment and developed relationships with external recruiters.

Jessica then worked as the Director of Career Services at ITT Technical Institute, where they built relationships with employers and provided career coaching to students and alumni. Following that, they served as an HR Business Partner at Community Action of Washington County, where they provided support to staff and managers throughout the performance management process.

Jessica then joined Credit Union of Colorado, where they held various roles, including HR Business Partner, HR and L&D Manager, and Director of HR and L&D. In these positions, they oversaw all HR and learning and development functions, including employee relations, compliance, talent management, and training. Jessica also served as an advisor to department managers on complex HR matters.

Currently, Jessica holds the position of VP/Chief Human Resources Officer at Unitus Community Credit Union, where they continue to lead the HR department and contribute to the organization's strategic goals.

Jessica Brown holds an MBA from Concordia University-Portland, which they obtained between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at Washburn University from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained additional certifications in Strategic Workforce Planning from the Human Capital Institute in March 2018, as well as the SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute in May 2012. Jessica is also certified as an SHRM-SCP by SHRM, although the specific date of certification is not provided.
