Caterina di Ciano-Oliveira

Caterina Di Ciano-Oliveira is a Scientific Application Specialist and Adjunct Scientist with a PhD, currently employed at Unity Health Toronto since September 2013. Prior to this role, Caterina served as a Research Associate at St. Michael's Hospital from September 2010 to August 2013, focusing on the impact of oxidative stress on TLR-4 trafficking in macrophages. Caterina's research experience also includes a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Hospital for Sick Children from September 2006 to August 2010, where the role concentrated on the involvement of septins in regulating cancer cell proliferation. Caterina earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto, completing graduate studies from 2000 to 2006 and undergraduate studies from 1996 to 2000, respectively.
