Ilya Demchenko

Ilya Demchenko is a Doctoral Candidate at Unity Health Toronto since September 2020, focusing on the evaluation of the subgenual anterior cingulate cortex as a biomarker for antidepressant response. Ilya has extensive experience in clinical research, having served as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Interventional Psychiatry Program, managing multiple studies on novel psychopharmacology. Additionally, Ilya works as a Freelance Scientific Editor with Insight Editing London, providing editing services for academic documents. Prior roles include Graduate Student Researcher at Douglas Mental Health Institute and leadership positions in the McGill Student's Association for Collaborative Mental Healthcare, overseeing operations and financial management. Ilya holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from McGill University and the University of Toronto, respectively, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto.
