Jacob Lazar

Jacob Lazar is an experienced educator with a strong background in English Language Arts and literature instruction. Currently serving as an Associate Instructional Coach and Founding Teacher for ELA 11 and AP Literature at Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn since July 2018, Jacob previously held various teaching positions at Achievement First from 2010 to June 2018, including Teacher and Course Lead for AP Literature. Jacob began teaching as a Teacher in Residence and has also gained experience teaching at the Breakthrough Collaborative. Educational qualifications include a BA in English and Anthropology from Brandeis University and a Certificate of Leadership from the Hollyhock Fellowship at Stanford University.
