Michelle Roy Gaines

Michelle Roy Gaines has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Michelle started their career in 2007 as a Recruitment Associate at Teach For America. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at MS 223, where they held various roles, including Social Studies Department Chair, Professional Development Committee Member, Dual Language 7 Grade Coordinator, and Teacher. In 2013, Michelle joined Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn as a Founding Teacher. Michelle later became the Co-Principal of Teaching and Learning, a role they held until June 2021. Michelle is currently working at Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn as the Director of Special Projects, a position they have held since July 2021.
