Tamiko Thiel is an accomplished artist with a diverse background in augmented reality and fine arts. Thiel serves as an artist grant contributor for Sundance Institute & Unity for Humanity and is a founding member of the Manifest.AR artists collective. Additionally, Thiel has held the position of Art of Practice Fellow at the Sundance Institute and was recognized as a commissioned artist for the "FUTURES" exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution Arts and Industries Building. Thiel also contributes as an augmented reality artistic advisor for Hidden Histories of San Jose Japantown. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Applied Graphics from the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
