Julia Tarpey

Julia Tarpey has over 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. Julia began their career as a Personnel Officer at Ford Motor Company in 1988 and later worked as a Personnel Manager at Midland Bank from 1989 to 2002. Julia then joined HSBC Bank plc as a Human Resources Business Partner for Commercial Banking, where they were responsible for implementing the People Plan for the Business Banking Division. From 2009 to 2012, Julia served as the Head of Human Resources at HFC Bank, a subsidiary of HSBC, before taking on the role of Head of HR at Al Rayan Bank from 2012 to 2015. Currently, they are working as the HR Director at Unity Trust Bank, where they oversee the human resources function. Throughout their career, Julia has demonstrated expertise in talent development, workforce planning, business change management, and creating a positive employee relations environment.

Julia Tarpey attended the University of Nottingham from 1982 to 1985. Julia did not pursue a specific degree or field of study during this time. In 1988, they studied at Doncaster College and obtained a CIPD degree. From 1985 to 1986, Julia Tarpey pursued a postgraduate diploma in Careers Guidance at The University of Huddersfield.
