Julie Carnes

Julie Carnes has a diverse work experience in the chemical and personal care industries. Julie started their career in 1997 as a Personal Care Application Chemist at Dow Performance Silicones. Their roles at Dow Performance Silicones included being a Global Key Account Manager, where they managed two large global Personal Care Accounts with a focus on innovation and commercialization. Julie also served as a Sales Development and Training Manager, where they developed an in-house training platform for new sales hires and was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training new sales representatives. Julie then transitioned to become a Business Development Manager at Dow Performance Silicones and later a Global Key Distributor Manager.

In 2017, Julie joined ANGUS Chemical Company as an Industry Manager in Personal Care. Julie contributed in this role until 2018.

Currently, Julie is working at Univar Solutions, where they have held multiple positions such as Supplier Development Manager, Business Director, and currently, they are serving as the Global Supplier Director for Beauty and Personal Care since August 2020.

Julie Carnes completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Oakland University between 1990 and 1995. Julie also obtained a Level One Sommelier certification from the National Wine School in 2023.
