Ransara Wijethunga

Ransara Wijethunga is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and education. Currently serving as a Visiting Lecturer at Universal College Lanka and Dalhousie University since May 2023, Ransara also holds the position of Manager II - Virtual Prototyping at Synopsys Inc. since February 2023. Previously, Ransara worked as an Associate Architect at LSEG Technology and as a Technology Specialist at MillenniumIT, contributing to the development and maintenance of various trading systems. Earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer in the Millennium Market Data System, as well as part-time lecturing at the University of Moratuwa. Ransara's career began with a Trainee Software Engineer position at IFS and the role of Microsoft Student Ambassador at Microsoft Sri Lanka. Ransara holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with First Class Honours in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa.
