Sharmain Abeykoon currently serves as the Manager of Academic Administration and Student Support at Universal College Lanka (UCL) since November 2022. Prior to this role, Sharmain held the position of Chief Coordinator for Corporate, Alumni and Student Engagement at the Royal Institute of Colombo for a brief period in 2022. Experience includes serving as Program Manager at NEXT Campus - Sri Lanka, Assistant Registrar at Informatics Institute of Technology, and Assistant Manager - Academic Administration at APIIT Sri Lanka. Earlier professional experience includes a role as Executive in Group Corporate Communications at Metropolitan Group of Companies. Sharmain possesses a Master’s Degree in Business Studies from the University of Colombo, a Professional Diploma in Marketing from CIM, and a Bachelor of Business Management with a specialization in Marketing Management from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
