Zhiyong Zhang is an experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as Applications Development Manager and Senior Applications Development Scientist at Universal Matter Inc. since July 2020. Prior to this role, Zhiyong worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia, where significant contributions were made to enhance electrocatalytic alcohol oxidation activity through advanced nanocrystal catalyst design. Zhiyong also held a position as Research Associate Postdoctoral at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, focusing on fluid-solid interface mechanisms in energy conversion. Additional experience includes research and teaching roles at Michigan Technological University and graduate research at Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
