Merel Olgers

Merel Olgers is an experienced HR professional with a robust background in people management and organizational development. Currently serving as Vice President People and Culture at Universal Music Group since April 2023, Merel previously held the position of Head of HR at Artsen zonder Grenzen (Médecins Sans Frontières, Nederland) from June 2016 to March 2023, overseeing HR operations for over 11,000 staff across 26 mission countries and the Netherlands. Previous roles include HR Business Partner positions at Albert Heijn Ahold and Philips International, where strategic business development and people management were key focuses. Merel's career began as a Human Resource Manager at CSM United Kingdom, where significant organizational restructuring took place. Merel holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Bradford School of Management and a pre-master's in Organisations Studies from Tilburg University.
