Scot LaFerte has over three decades of work experience, primarily in the field of human resources. Scot currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Human Resources at Universal Destinations & Experiences since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Universal Orlando Resort from April 2017 to October 2020. During their tenure at Universal Orlando Resort, they also held the roles of Vice President, Talent & Administration, Senior Director, Human Resources Development, and Director, Human Resources. Before joining Universal Orlando Resort, Scot worked at Military Ocean Terminal, Bayonne as the Garrison Manager/Executive Director of Administration from 1996 to 1998. Scot also served as the Ombudsperson - Base Transition Coordinator at the Office of the Secretary of Defense from March 1995 to April 1996. Scot's early career includes a role as the Director of Training & Mobilization at the Military Traffic Management Command from September 1987 to March 1995.

Scot LaFerte obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Logistics from Georgia Southern University, completing their studies from 1983 to 1987. Scot then went on to Central Michigan University, earning a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) with a focus on Human Resources between 1995 and 1997.
