Scott Levine has a range of work experience in legal roles. Scott began their career as a Litigation Associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in 1988. From 1989 to 2005, they worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorneys' Offices. In 1994, they also taught as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Practice at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law until 2006. Scott then joined Career Education Corporation as an Associate General Counsel from 2005 to 2013. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President/Deputy General Counsel at Universal Technical Institute, Inc. since 2013.

Scott Levine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. Scott went on to attend Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where they graduated with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in 1988.
