About the Job
This role will join the Operations team, which is responsible for the timely, efficient, and error-free fulfillment of all orders. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for improving efficiency in the fulfillment operation through optimizing processes, implementing automation equipment, and configuring systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies on routine and high-volume tasks in the warehouse to establish standards for productivity, quality, and labor costs.
- Manage staff planning models and labor cost tracking systems.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to identify opportunities to optimize processes and implement automation equipment.
- Lead process optimization and automation projects by updating processes, rearranging layouts, purchasing equipment, and partnering with the management team to train employees.
- Identify, design, and lead facility layout optimization projects.
- Create and maintain reporting tools to measure efficiency, and train the team on how to use them.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 7+ years of work experience in Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years of work experience in an assembly or B2C fulfillment environment
- Mastery of Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong data analysis skills
- Ability to build systems
- Ability to write clear and detailed process documents
Additional qualifications which are helpful but not required are:
- Experience collaborating with a bilingual workforce (English/Spanish)
- Experience with using and improving Warehouse Management Systems
- Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience
Location
- 100% On-site work arrangement reporting into HQ (Roseland, NJ) Monday - Friday
