Alvaro Martínez

Alvaro Martínez is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in the process engineering sector, currently serving as CEO for Western Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Latin America at GEA Group since June 2008. Alvaro holds multiple leadership titles within GEA, including President/Managing Director of the Iberia cluster and Executive VP for the region encompassing Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to these roles, Alvaro led GEA's operations in South Europe and the Middle East, as well as in Spain and South America. Alvaro also serves on the Supervisory Board of GRADE Refrigeration LLC and has contributed as a guest lecturer at various institutions, including OBS Business School and Universidad de Jaén. Previous experience includes significant positions at GEA Tuchenhagen and Siemens. Alvaro's education includes advanced management and leadership programs from IESE Business School and IMD, alongside a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
