Juan Antonio Guzmán M.

Juan Antonio Guzmán M. is a Civil Industrial Engineer, Catholic University. Ph.D. Polytechnic of North London. He was President of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research, CONICYT, and Minister of Education. He was General Manager of Gener SA and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Sonda SA, CFR SA, Scotiabank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cemento Polpaico SA, Clínica Indisa SA, Extend Comunicaciones SA, Arrigoni SA, and the Chilean-Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He was the first Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Andrés Bello University between 1990 and 1997 and served as Rector of the same university between 2001 and 2003. He is currently Director of the Education and Culture Foundation.
