Daan Roosegaarde is a Dutch artist and innovator with a diverse portfolio in social design, focusing on the intersection of people, technology, and space. As the founder of Studio Roosegaarde since 2005, Daan leads a team dedicated to creating future landscapes. Daan is also a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum and a visiting professor at Tongji University in Shanghai and Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico, where expertise in environmental design and architecture is shared. Additional roles include being a community member of WORLD.MINDS, an artist for NASA's Cross Industry Innovation team, and art director for projects with Hermès and Nuanu in Tokyo and Bali, respectively. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Architecture from the Berlage Institute and Bachelor's degrees in Fine Art and Design, and Sculpture & Architecture from ArtEZ University of the Arts.
