Patricia T. Fernandez-Guajardo, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in academic program management, teaching, advising, and research. Patricia T. currently serves as the Academic Program Director for Political Science and Governance at Universidad de Monterrey since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University from September 2015 to June 2019, where they taught courses on environmental politics, policy, sustainable living, and politics of developing nations. Patricia T. Fernandez-Guajardo, Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. in Public Policy from Oregon State University, completing their studies from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Patricia T. holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Universidad de Monterrey, which they received after studying from 2004 to 2009.

Patricia also participated in additional educational experiences, including a summer course in International Comparative Rural Policy Studies (ICRPS) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2017. In 2013, they completed an internship for their Master's thesis research at Monash University. Additionally, in 2012, they attended a summer course on Public Administration/Strategic City Management at the University of Deusto.
