Mauricio Apablaza

Mauricio Apablaza serves as the Director of Research at the School of Government at Universidad del Desarrollo since September 2013 and has been an Associate Research Fellow at the University of Oxford since January 2010. Apablaza has also held roles as an Outreach Coordinator and Research Officer at the University of Oxford and was a Visiting Scholar at The London School of Economics and Political Science from June 2019 to February 2020. Previous positions include a Teaching Fellow at the University of Nottingham and a Lecturer at Universidad del Desarrollo. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham, a Postdoc in Development Economics and International Development from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in Public Policies from Universidad del Desarrollo, and a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from the same institution, alongside a Diplomado en Fotografía Digital from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
