Cristina Fernandez is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in macroeconomic research and consulting. Currently serving as a Researcher at Fedesarrollo since July 2013 and as a Cátedra Professor in Macroeconomic Policy at Universidad del Rosario since August 2018, Cristina has contributed significantly to various projects in international finance and development. Previous roles include Consultant at the International Finance Corporation, where methodology for client segmentation was developed, and Country Economist at the Inter-American Development Bank, focused on macroeconomic monitoring and sustainability analysis for Honduras and Guatemala. Cristina held positions as Regional Economist and Strategist at the IFC, where economic reports for South Asia were produced, and Country Economist at CAF, contributing to macroeconomic modeling for Colombia. Cristina's career began at the Banco de la República in Colombia, participating in key financial negotiations, and includes early research experience at Fedesarrollo. Cristina holds a Master's degree in Economics from NYU and two degrees in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes.
