Fidel Terenciano

Fidel Terenciano, Ph. D, currently serves as the National Research Expert for Mozambique at Syspons GmbH and as an Independent Ombudsperson for the Montepuez Ruby Mining Operational Grievance Mechanism. Since April 2022, Fidel has been a Senior Consultant and Team Leader at UNOPS, focusing on database design for displaced populations, while also holding the position of Executive Director at Instituto para o Desenvolvimento Económico e Social de Moçambique since December 2021. Additionally, Fidel has been a principal researcher at Universidade Católica de Moçambique since January 2016. Previous roles include Senior Project Assistant with IOM - UN Migration, Independent Consultant for CCL/ADEL CD/USAID, General Director of Universidade IRIS, and Political Advisor for the Municipality of Pemba. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Political Science from UFSCar, a Master's in Political Science from Universidade Federal do Pará, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane.
