Manuela Amone is a dedicated marine biologist with extensive experience in seagrass ecology and ecological research. Currently serving as a Student Researcher at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane since February 2012, Manuela Amone focuses on seagrass-related fauna, the perceptions of coastal communities regarding the role of seagrass, and seagrass restoration and mapping. Previously, Manuela held the position of Research Assistant at the Ministry of Education from 2008 to 2019 and worked as a Biology Teacher. Manuela Amone completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Marine Botany at Nelson Mandela University from 2020 to 2023, following a Master's degree in Marine Biology from Eduardo Mondlane University in 2011-2012.
