Luciano Volcan Agostini

Luciano Volcan Agostini is a Full Professor at Universidade Federal de Pelotas since August 2002, where Luciano leads both the Video Technology Research Group (ViTech) and the Group of Architectures and Integrated Circuits (GACI). Additionally, Luciano holds the position of Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies and coordinates the Research Department while serving as a tutor for the PET Computation Group. Luciano has contributed to the IEEE community as an Associated Editor for both the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology since August 2020 and the IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems since October 2019. Luciano's academic background includes a Post-Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon, a Doctorate and Master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Universidade Federal de Pelotas, and a Technician degree in Electronics from Escola Técnica Federal de Pelotas.
