Chiara Brambilla

Chiara Brambilla currently serves as an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo, a position held since February 2020, after transitioning from an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the same institution. Prior academic roles include Adjunct Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Università IULM and Research Fellow positions at the Academy for Teaching and Learning Quality and the University of Bergamo, focusing on anthropological and geographical research related to migration and borders. Chiara Brambilla completed a PhD in Anthropology and Epistemology of Complexity at the University of Bergamo, following an MSc in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the same institution. Research interests encompass the complexity of the border-migration nexus, leveraging the borderscaping approach to better understand geopolitical and social dimensions.
