Matt Sayre currently serves as the Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at High Point University, a position held since August 2018, and is also involved in teaching for the new Sustainability Major. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor and Department Chair at The University of South Dakota from July 2011 to June 2018, and as Program Director at the Institute of Andean Studies between September 2010 and July 2013. Educational credentials comprise a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and an MA/PhD in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
