Fabio Pollice

Since 2011 he has been full professor of Economic-Political Geography (SSD: M-GGR/02) at the University of Salento; he taught at the Universities of Naples "Federico II" and Rome "La Sapienza".

From 2016 to 2019 he was director of the Department of History, Society and Human Studies, after having been coordinator of the PhD in Human and Social Sciences for three years.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Italian Geographical Society (SGI) and national coordinator of the regional trustees; member of the scientific committee of the European University Center for Cultural Heritage (CUEBC), of Eurispes, of the IULM foundation in Milan and of the "La Notte della Taranta" foundation. he also directs the School of Placetelling born, on his idea of ​​him, from the collaboration between the CUEBC, the SGI and the University of Salento.

He deals with topics of applied geography with particular regard to issues related to territorial development and global local relations with insights into the relationship between tourism and culture and the role of culture in local development processes.
