Karin Schaad

Karin Schaad has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Karin is currently employed as the Head of Facility Services at UniversitätsSpital Zürich. Prior to that, they worked as the Chair of the Board and a Member of the Board at FMpro. Karin also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Technische Universität Wien. From 2014 to 2018, they held the position of Senior Business Consultant at ISS Facility Services AG in Switzerland. In addition, they served as a Member of the Board and Chair of Practice Network Group at EuroFM from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Research Associate at ZHAW Life Sciences und Facility Management and as an Office Manager and Course Administrator at the same institution. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Manager Logistics and FM Manager at Universitätsspital Zürich.

Karin Schaad obtained their first education in facility management from the Higher School of Housekeeping, where they completed their Diploma in Housekeeping Management (HHF) from 1984 to 1988. Later on, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Facility Management from ZHAW Life Sciences und Facility Management, which they successfully completed from 2011 to 2014. Overall, Karin Schaad has received education and training in the field of facility management throughout their educational history.
