Michele Visentin

Michele Visentin is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular medicine. Currently serving as a Senior Associate Scientist and Group Leader at Universitätsspital Zürich since January 2019, Michele also holds the position of VP of Science and Co-Founder at TransHeps starting in March 2024. Previous roles include Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Zurich in 2018 and Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitätsspital Zürich from 2014 to 2017. Michele gained foundational research experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2011 to 2014. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from Università degli Studi di Udine (2011), a Master's degree in Molecular Medicine from Università degli Studi di Trieste (2007), and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Padova (2004).
