Alan Knight is a seasoned academic and practitioner in the field of architecture, having served as a Professeur agrégé at Université de Montréal since 1976. Between 2007 and 2014, Alan Knight directed the Urban Design master's program (MIDU) while contributing as a Professor of Architecture. Prior to this role, Alan Knight was the Surintendant du Bureau de projet urbain at Ville de Montréal from January 1991 to May 1994, where responsibilities included forming an urban design group within the Urban Planning Service. Alan Knight's educational background includes an AA diploma in Architecture from the AA School of Architecture (1968-1972), a RIBA Part 1 from Ex Brixton School of Building (1963-1966), and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of the South Bank, London (1963-1966).
