François Gélineau

Vice Rector, International Affairs & Sustainable Development - EDI & Philanthropy Officer at Université Laval

François Gélineau is the Vice Rector of International Affairs & Sustainable Development - EDI & Philanthropy Officer at Université Laval. François has also worked as an electoral observer for the Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA) from January 2008 to December 2017. From January 2014 to December 2015, they served as the interim director for the Centre pour l'étude de la citoyenneté démocratique. François was also a member of the board of directors for the Société québécoise de science politique from January 2007 to December 2011. From January 2005 to December 2006, they worked as the primary agent for policies and research for the Fondation canadienne des bourses d'études du millénaire. Prior to that, they served as the Conseiller principal en opinion publique, Affaires intergouvernementales for the Bureau du Conseil privé from January 2002 to December 2003. François has also been a guest researcher in the Department of Political Science at Duke University from August 2001 to December 2001.

François Gélineau's educational career began with him earning a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. François then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy from The University of New Mexico in Political Science and Government. Lastly, they completed their Études postdoctorales from Université de Montréal in Science politique.
