Uzair Rusli is currently an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, where Uzair also serves as the Senior Lecturer. In addition, Uzair is the Team Leader at Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU) and the Executive Chairman of Conservation Management Solutions (CMS) Sdn Bhd, a tech startup that commercializes the Turtle Imprinting Database System (TIDES). Prior to these roles, Uzair worked as an Academic Fellow at UMT, Field Coordinator at WWF-Malaysia, and Internship Trainee at the Department of Fisheries Malaysia. Uzair holds a PhD in Animal Physiology from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.
