Selvakumar Manickam

Selvakumar Manickam, PhD, serves as the Director at the National Advanced IPv6 Centre (NAv6) at Universiti Sains Malaysia since January 2022, and an Associate Professor since January 2014. With extensive experience in Internet security, Selvakumar heads the Internet Security Working Group at the Malaysian Research and Education Network (MyREN) while contributing to national and international doctrines for Internet security. Additionally, Selvakumar has held various roles in the IPv6 Forum, including Co-chair of the Global Education Program and former Vice Chair of IPv6 Forum Malaysia. Prior roles also include Deputy Director at NAv6, Executive Council Member of ISOC Malaysia Chapter, and Senior Lecturer at Penang Skills Development Center. Selvakumar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in the same field, all from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
