Aaron Lott

Aaron Lott is a highly skilled technical advisor and academic with extensive experience in quantum computing and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Technical Advisor - Systems Engineering and Quantum AI Technical Lead at KBR, Inc. since March 2025, Lott leads the quantum computing team within NASA's Quantum Artificial Intelligence Lab. Additionally, since May 2023, Lott has been an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, focusing on quantum computing and machine learning. Previous roles include Technical Area Lead at USRA, Senior Applied Research Scientist and Director of Technical Product Management at D-Wave Systems Inc., and postdoctoral positions at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and NIST. Lott holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation from the University of Maryland, along with executive education in Product Management from UC Berkeley.
