Tomohiro Oda is a Senior Scientist and Lead of the Global Surface Atmosphere Flux Product at the USRA's Earth from Space Institute, a position held since October 2014. Oda also serves as a Visiting Researcher at Osaka University and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland since January and April 2020, respectively. Prior experience includes a Research Scientist role at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and a Research Associate at Colorado State University. Oda’s research focuses on fossil fuel CO2 emissions datasets, space-based observation of large point emission sources, and CO2 source and sink inversion utilizing various data platforms. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Engineering from Osaka University and a B.Sc. in Physics from Kwansei Gakuin University.
