Sophie Sayettat is currently a PhD student at Uniklinik Köln within the Institut für Virologie, specializing in the Laboratory of Experimental Immunology, since September 2023. Prior to this role, Sophie completed research internships at Institut Cochin, focusing on the role of polyamines in HIV-1 infection and the dissemination of SARS-CoV-2 from epithelial lung cells to macrophages, as well as a brief internship at Institut Pasteur de Lille studying the impact of HCV infection on peroxisome dynamics. Sophie holds a Doctor's Degree in Virology from the University of Cologne, a Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Université Paris Cité, and a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Biotechnology from École de Biologie Industrielle, supplemented by a study abroad program in Biotechnology at RMIT University.
