Lucas Olson

Lucas Olson is an experienced Senior Immigration Specialist at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since February 2022, previously serving as a Project Analyst/Immigration Advisor at the University of California San Diego. Over a career spanning more than a decade, Lucas has advised thousands of international researchers and students on immigration, labor regulations, and cultural adaptation, while managing compliance and documentation for U.S. government agencies. Leadership roles have included Chair of the San Diego Professionals in International Education Roundtable and Co-Chair for a Member Interest Group within NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Lucas holds a Master's Degree in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a Master's in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam.
