Christina Savova is an accomplished academic and fashion designer with extensive experience in higher education and editorial roles. Currently serving as a Member of the Fashion Central Editorial Advisory Board at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and as an Associate Professor of Fashion Design at New Bulgarian University since 2001, Christina has held numerous positions within the university, including Acting Department Chair of Fine Arts and Department Chair of Design. Christina's leadership extends to program direction for undergraduate and graduate degrees in Fashion and involvement in various committees, including accreditation and curricular development. Additionally, Christina contributes to the field as a member of the Editorial Board for the Online Journal of Textile and Clothing and the Scientific Board of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology. Christina earned a Ph.D. in Fashion/Apparel Design from New Bulgarian University and has a longstanding career as a freelancer in the fashion industry.
