Ashley Schutz

Ashley Schutz, MHA, MLS (ASCP) has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Ashley began their career as a Medical Laboratory Technician at University Health in March 2013 and later advanced to the role of Medical Laboratory Scientist in June 2014. In June 2016, they transitioned to the position of Quality and Compliance Coordinator, where they worked until October 2018. Ashley then became an Epic Analyst in November 2018 and held this role until April 2022. Ashley then served as an IT Quality Assurance Manager from April 2022 to June 2023, before taking on their current position as the Director of IT Quality Assurance at University Health in June 2023. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in early 2014.

Ashley Schutz, MHA, MLS (ASCP) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from UT Health San Antonio in the years 2010 to 2013. Ashley is also certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Additionally, Ashley has certifications as an Anesthesia Analyst, Orders Analyst, and Smartforms Analyst from Epic.
