Sherrie Voss Matthews

Sherrie Voss Matthews has a diverse work experience in communications and marketing roles. Sherrie started their career as an Editorial Assistant at the Des Moines Register and later worked as an Associate Editor at Perfection Learning Corporation. Sherrie then joined the American Planning Association as a Copy Editor for various publications. Sherrie also served as a Copy Editor at the Springfield News-Leader before becoming a Web Editor and Assistant Director of Publications at Drury University.

Sherrie has also worked at the Institute of Texan Cultures as a Multimedia Editor III, where they maintained the institute's website and managed social networking sites. Sherrie then joined The University of Texas at San Antonio as an International Media and Marketing Coordinator, where they developed marketing materials and maintained the university's international web and social networking presence.

Sherrie's experience also includes working as a Senior Web Content Producer at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where they oversaw the content and multimedia for the redevelopment of the university's websites. Sherrie later joined The University of Texas at San Antonio as the Director of Communications for International Programs, where they oversaw brand development and strategically developed website content.

Currently, Sherrie is working at University Health as Senior Manager and later Director of Internal Communications. In these roles, they have overseen strategic internal communication campaigns, managed internal communications teams, and developed crisis communications plans, among other responsibilities.

Sherrie Voss Matthews obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in the years 1991 to 1995. Sherrie then pursued a Master's degree in Communication from Drury University from 2007 to 2009. In 2019, Sherrie also obtained several certifications related to content strategy from Coursera.
