Shirley Gabriel

Shirley Gabriel serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Piedmont Augusta since January 2015, bringing extensive experience in health information technology. Previously, Shirley held the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The University of Arizona Health Network from June 2006 to January 2014, where responsibilities included overseeing technical infrastructure and business systems for the only academic medical center in Arizona. Additionally, Shirley contributed as a member of the Board of Directors for the Health Information Network of Arizona, focusing on enhancing health data exchange. Prior experience at Summa Health System involved directing IT operations across multiple healthcare facilities and managing applications development. Shirley Gabriel holds a Master's Degree in Health Administration from Ohio University and multiple degrees in Business and Computer Programming from Kent State University and The University of Akron.
