Mysti Schott

Vice President, Ambulatory Chief Medical Information Officer at University Health System

Mysti Schott, MD, MBA, FACP, currently serves as the Vice President and Ambulatory Chief Medical Information Officer at University Health since February 2024. Prior to this role, Schott held the position of Regional Medical Director of Clinical Informatics for South Texas at CHRISTUS Health from August 2021 to December 2023. Schott's extensive experience in medical informatics includes serving as the Chief Medical Information Officer and Internal Medicine Physician at UT Health San Antonio from October 2004 to July 2021, along with leadership roles such as Director of Clinical Informatics and Associate Professor of Medicine. Earlier in the career, Schott was the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at the 59th Medical Wing - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center and served as Chief Resident at Keesler Medical Center 81st Medical Group. Schott earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, in addition to earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Zoology and Zoology/Animal Biology from Texas A&M University.
