Charoula Iliaskou

Charoula Iliaskou is a Medical Physics Resident at Universitätsklinikum Freiburg, specializing in radiation therapy since November 2020. Responsibilities include forward and inverse treatment planning, beam modeling, and quality assurance across various equipment such as TrueBeam and Elekta. As a PhD candidate at the Klinik für Strahlenheilkunde, research focuses on intraoperative electron beam radiotherapy and Monte Carlo simulations. Charoula authored a master thesis on in vivo dosimetry for breast cancer irradiation techniques at Attikon University General Hospital and has interned at the University General Hospital of Thessaloniki AHEPA. Educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Physics from The University of Freiburg, a Master's degree in Health/Medical Physics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
