Catherine Simoneaux Mph, Cic

Catherine Simoneaux, MPH, CIC, CPHQ, currently serves as the Regulatory and Accreditation Manager at the University Medical Center New Orleans since July 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Infection Prevention at Tulane Medical Center, where management of the infection control program for both Tulane Medical Center and Tulane Lakeside Hospital was conducted. Catherine has also worked as an Infection Preventionist at Infection Prevention & Management Associates and Touro Infirmary, leading a team and overseeing infection control initiatives at a 360-bed acute care facility. Earlier, an internship at the Louisiana Office of Public Health involved data management for a childhood lead poisoning prevention program. Catherine's career began with roles at Walt Disney World and Louisiana State University, where skills in guest services and research were developed. Catherine holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University.
