Lynne Coventry

Lynne Coventry is an accomplished director at Abertay University, serving as the Director of the cyberQuarter since August 2022. With a long-standing tenure at Northumbria University that began in July 2009, Lynne holds multiple leadership roles, including Director of the PaCT Lab, Director of Human and Digital Design, and Director of the Northumbria Cybersecurity Research Group. In these positions, Lynne focuses on interdisciplinary research, strategic partnerships, and the application of psychological theories in technology and cybersecurity. Previously, Lynne served as Human Factors Lead at LifeScan, where responsibilities included usability research and evaluation, and as a usability consultant at NCR, contributing to the design of public self-service technology. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Human Computer Interaction and MSc in Software Engineering from the University of Stirling, along with a BSc in Psychology and Computing.
