Andrew Lowe is an accomplished academic and leader in environmental and agricultural sciences, currently holding the position of Director at the Environment Institute and Professor of Plant Conservation Biology at the University of Adelaide. With a focus on plant survival and adaptation to human-altered landscapes, Andrew's research employs ecological and genomic analyses to inform management strategies for diverse ecosystems. As Director of Agrifood and Wine, Andrew collaborates with Food South Australia and the South Australian Department of Primary Industries and Regions to enhance the region's food research initiatives. Andrew serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Double Helix Tracking Technologies, developing DNA tracking tools for timber products, and has played a pivotal role in establishing global standards for timber legality.
