David C. Bressler

David C. Bressler serves as the Chief Strategy Officer - International & Enterprise at the University of Alberta, a role involving the advancement of the university's international research and industry partnership goals under the direct guidance of the President. In addition to this position, Bressler is a Professor in Bioresource Technology, focusing on fermentation and biorefining processes. As a Special Advisor to the President, Bressler contributes to the development of a new Vice President Portfolio. With experience as Technology Founder and Scientific Advisor at Forge Hydrocarbons and having held roles such as Associate Dean of STEM Research and Associate Dean of Research, Bressler has a rich history in academic leadership. Bressler earned a PhD in Microbiology and Cell Biotechnology from the University of Alberta between 1993 and 2001.
