Kelly Maher

Kelly Maher is a highly experienced professional in the field of research and innovation, currently serving as a Senior Research Partner in the Natural and Applied Sciences division and as the Executive Director of the Autonomous Systems Initiative at the University of Alberta. With a strong background in engineering and applied research, Kelly's previous roles include Director of Research & Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering, Director of Program Development at the University of Alberta, and Research & Innovation Specialist at NAIT. Kelly has also held positions at Canadian Bioenergy Corporation and Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development, contributing significantly to the development of bioindustrial sectors and applied research initiatives throughout the career. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Bioresource Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Alberta.
