Noor al-Zanoon

Noor Al-Zanoon has a diverse work experience in various research, innovation, and coordination roles. Noor started their career as a Head and Neck Cancer Rehabilitation Researcher at the University of Alberta in 2017. In this role, they focused on research related to cancer rehabilitation.

In 2020, Noor joined True Angle as a Product and Research Analyst. Here, they conducted competitive analysis of remote healthcare technologies and rehabilitation literature, evaluated outcomes using mixed methods analysis techniques, and engaged with patients and clinicians through social media outreach and white paper writing.

In 2021, Noor joined the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii) as a Talent Program Coordinator. Their responsibilities included evaluating industry needs and identifying suitable talent, designing professional development programs, creating equal opportunity work placement frameworks, and implementing automation tools for recruitment and onboarding.

In 2022, Noor joined Alberta Innovates as a Senior Business Partner in the Health Innovation-Talent division. In this role, they led health research and innovation programming to build talent and ecosystem capacity, and supported stakeholders in overcoming talent capacity barriers.

Noor Al-Zanoon is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta, with an expected completion date in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including training in Human Centred Service Design, Ideation and Prototyping for Human-Centred Design, Foundations in Public Participation, Techniques in Public Participation, and Machine Learning Foundations I and II. Noor also participated in the Kickstart 2021 program offered by the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii).
