Ratmir Derda

Ratmir Derda is a Professor at the University of Alberta, where tenure has included roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor since September 2010. Additionally, Ratmir Derda is the Founder and C.E.O. of 48Hour Discovery INC, established in February 2017. Prior experience includes positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering from January 2008 to February 2011, and as a Graduate Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2001 to January 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Applied Physics and Mathematics, Biophysics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University).
